HOCHTIEF AirPort Capital (HTAC):

Partnership for the future.

HTAC is a closed private investment company for the purpose of investments in airports world-wide. HTAC is also described as an investment partnership.

The growing aviation market offers great investment opportunities for private investors. In the long-term investments in airports offer stable cash flows and attractive returns on investment (ROI). Even following a crises, airports quickly return to their former growth pattern. But the challenges involved are complex. Airports tie up large amounts of capital and a successful management requires considerable operational know-how. This makes strong alliances imperative for all those who seek to shape the future of this market.

In partnership with HOCHTIEF AirPort, a subsidiary of HOCHTIEF Concessions AG, the managing general partner of HTAC, the three investors in HOCHTIEF AirPort Capital (HTAC)–Hastings Funds Management Ltd. (Australia), Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (Canada) and KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH (Germany)–aim to deploy their unique combination of financial clout and infrastructure expertise to achieve market leadership.

In terms of their backgrounds and strategic interests, the HTAC partners ideally supplement one another. As institutional investors, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and Hastings Funds Management Ltd. have the task of investing the capital entrusted to them as securely and profitably as possible. They both have extensive experience in the financing of private infrastructure facilities–Australia and Canada were pioneers in this sector.

KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH is also an established presence in the field of infrastructure financing, investing in equity participations and providing long-term loans to infrastructure projects. Since the mid-90s, HOCHTIEF AirPort GmbH–today under the HOCHTIEF Concessions brand–has carved out a position for itself as one of the world's leading independent airport managers. It places its experience in privatization procedures, transaction processes and the operational management of airports at the disposal of HTAC.

By pooling these varied competencies, HTAC intends both to increase the asset value of its present shareholdings–in the airports of Athens, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Sydney–and also to extend this portfolio. Together with HOCHTIEF Concessions, HTAC participates in bidding procedures for airports, with the partners deciding jointly on the suitability of any specific project. The focus of interest is primarily on facilities with more than five million passengers a year which offer the right prerequisites for stable growth and good value enhancement.
